Governance Logistical Support Turn-Over in Basilan

Nagdilaab Foundation Inc., as a member-organization of ZABIDA, implements the Convenio Project supported by the Spanish Cooperation (AECID) and Manos Unidas in Basilan. For the month of December, they have conducted a series of Logistical Support Turn-Over for Governance, Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) and Gender and Development. These logistical supports are directly proposed by partner-barangays addressing the above-mentioned components. 

On December 26, 2017, Farmer Tools and Equipment were turned-over to the Farmers Organization of Switch Yakal which also inducted the officers for the Switch Yakal Farmers Organization.. The ceremony took place at the Barangay Hall, Switch Yakal, Lantawan Municipality. This was headed by Ms. Deddette Suacito together with Mr. John Francisco,  NFI-LGU Coordinator for Lantawan Municipality. 

Still in Lantawan Municipality but in Barangay Upper Manggas, the Women Sector Group and the Outpost (Security Sector Group) received Kitchen Utensils Logistical Support last December 16. Held at Upper Manggas, Barangay Hall, Lantawan Municipality. Present during turnover ceremony were Hon. Nasser Abubakar, Vice Mayor, Lantawan Municipality together with the Barangay Officials, members of Women Sector, and Security Sector, Ms. Dedette Suacito, NFI Executive Director and Mr. John Francisco, LGU Coordinator for Lantawan Municipality.

 

Another Logistical Support addressing Poverty Reduction, Gender-Responsive and DRRM were turned-over to Barangay Upper Port Holland in Maluso, Basilan. December 17, NFI through its Executive Director, Ms. Suacito and the LGU Coordinator for Maluso Municipality, Mr. Paulo Lataba, officially turned-over the Barangay’s proposed logistical support. Also present during the ceremony were the different Sector Groups and its members, Hon. Hja Basma Sahak Jimlani,Barangay Chairwoman of Upper Port Holland along with her Barangay Kagawads and sectoral representatives.

Same day, Barangay Shipyard Tabuk, in Maluso, Basilan received Logistical Support addressing Poverty Reduction, Gender-Responsive and Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM). Headed by Ms. Deddette Suacito, Executive Director and Paulo Lataba, LGU  Coordinator for Maluso Municipality also there to witness the turnover were Hon. Rosnie T. Hadjirul, Brgy. Chairwoman of Shipyard Tabuk, Ms. Consolacion Martin, Asst. MSWDO, Hji. Salahuddin Musa, TIC of Shipyard Elementary School and all sectors of the community.

 

Thereafter, still on the same day, a Turn Over Ceremony for Logistical Support (CVO Outpost and Water Pipes) of Convenio 2 Project (Governance Component) took place in Barangay Lower Bañas, Lantawan Basilan. Present during the turn over ceremony were: Ms. Deddette Suacito, Executive Director of Nagdilaab Foundation, Inc. Ms. Erica Angelique P. Fernandez, LGU Coordinator, assigned in Lantawan Municipality, Barangay Council headed by the Barangay Chairman Hon. Nelson Virtucio and the different Sector Groups.

 

Lastly, 3 Units Sewing Machine, Garment Materials & Supplies, 30 pcs. Plastic Chairs, and 6 pcs. Plastic Tables Logistical Support were turned-over in Barangay Calayan, Lantawan Basilan. Still addressing the above-mentioned components. Present during the turn over ceremony were Mr. John Francisco, LGU Coordinator assigned in Lantawan Municipality, Barangay Council headed by the Barangay Chairman Hon. Raja Bungso Edris and the different Sector Groups.
