Labor Day: A Venue for Young Job Aspirants

Zamboanga City – Completers of Mindanao Youth for Development took part in the success of the Labor Day activity last May 1, 2016 at Zamboanga Ecozone, San Ramon, Talisayan, Zamboanga City. An annual Mega Job fair with the theme “Kinabukasan Sigurado sa Disenteng Trabaho”, that cater to fresh graduates, unemployed individuals and Out-of-School youth of this City to contribute a positive response to the national goal of poverty reduction and job creation particularly in our local community.

Department Of Labor and Employment-Zamboanga City Field Office posted more than 30,000 job vacancies during the event comprising local and overseas job hiring. More than 70 MyDev Completers both from ALS Program and Technical Skills Training showed dogged perseverance in pursuing their application in some local job vacancies such as factory and production workers, quality control staff, factory supervisors, and other retail, community, social, and personal services were able to seek suitable opportunities that qualify them land to a job after the fair.

The event was conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office through the DOLE- Zamboanga City Field Office (DOLE-ZCFO) and in partnership with the Zamboanga City Public Employment Service Office (ZC-PESO) and Zamboanga Ecozone.
