ZABIDA Visits Bicol

TO improve the planning and implementation of their respective community development and peace-building projects, officers of the Bicol Consortium for Development Initiatives, In. (BCDI) and Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance (ZABIDA) have been conducting twice-yearly exchange field visits since last year.

ZABIDA officers undertook a reciprocal visitation to Bicol last August 18-22 to assess the status of their two organizations’ projects, which include basic health and related services to poor communities, promotion of good governance, environmental preservation, micro-lending and economic capacity-building, and peace.

Both groups’ programs are funded by the Spanish government, being implemented from 2007-2010 under the supervision of the international Manos Unidas foundation.
