Zamboanga–Basilan Integrated Development Alliance · Since 2007

Many
organizations.
One alliance.

ZABIDA brings together member NGOs working side by side on peace, human rights, and community development across Zamboanga City, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and — Tawi-Tawi.

About

Empowering Communities For Human Security

ZABIDA started in 2007 as a consortium of four non-government organizations — Katilingban sa Kalambuan, Inc. (KKI), Peace Advocates Zamboanga (PAZ), and Reach Out to Others Foundation (ROOF) in Zamboanga City, together with Nagdilaab Foundation Inc. (NFI) based in Basilan — committed to uplifting the quality of life of disadvantaged sectors across both provinces.

Since then it has engaged in initiatives spanning peace, human rights, democratic governance, community empowerment, and disaster preparedness and risk reduction, reaching communities that no single organization could reach alone.

"Together, we create stronger, safer, and more resilient communities.."

The alliance is also growing to include Verde Zamboanga and Ganda Gaddung in Basilan, focused on environment-related campaigns and advocacy, plus Campo Vida for sustainable agriculture, and allied partners Youth Solidarity for Peace and Jovenes Allianza de Zamboanga.
