HAPPENING NOW: Dr. Grace Rebollos, Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance, Inc. (ZABIDA) President, is currently discussing the second session on Review of Concepts: Peace and Conflict Sensitivity and Peacebuilding. This session aims to deepen participants’ understanding of how conflict impacts communities differently and why a context-sensitive, inclusive approach is crucial in peacebuilding work. It also highlights the importance of recognizing diverse perspectives and lived experiences when addressing conflict at the grassroots level. “Even we are looking at the same thing, we still have different perspective,” said Dr. Grace. — This training is part of the Conflict Prevention and Resolution at the Grassroots: Enhancing Skills of Women, Youth, and IP Leaders in BaSulTa initiative of ZABIDA with partner organizations Nagdilaab Foundation, Inc., Tulung Lupah Sug, and Tarbilang Foundation, Inc., under the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund of UN Women Philippines The project seeks to empower women and youth leaders from the Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi region by providing them with the necessary tools to foster peace and security at the grassroots level. #WomenForPeace #Peacebuilding #BASULTA #WomenInLeadership
