On 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 23, 2025, Campo Vida conducted a Pest Control and Seedling Preparation Training for the Indigenous Women of Barangays Kasanyangan, Arena Blanco, and Talon-Talon. In the morning, 𝑴𝒔. 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐 shared the rationale of the activity and facilitated an inter-barangay sharing session, where participants exchanged their gardening experiences, success stories, and effective techniques in vegetable production. The discussion helped them identify ways to address pest infestation challenges that affect the growth of their urban gardens. 𝙈𝙧. 𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙩, representative from the 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩, also shared his expertise on pest management and taught the women how to create organic anti-pest solutions. He further discussed important tips on seedling preparation and care. In the afternoon, 𝑴𝒔. 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒂 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒍 facilitated the 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 to recognize the women’s hard work and perseverance in sustaining their gardens. All participants were acknowledged, with the Top 3 gardeners per barangay receiving special awards for their outstanding performance and inspiring impact in promoting urban gardening in their communities.
