On October 30, 2024, Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance (ZABIDA), through Campo Vida Agricultural Learning Center, in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority IX (PCA) and the Agricultural Training Institute IX (ATI), celebrated the graduation of 32 Coconut Farmers from the Farm Business School (FBS) Program at the Covered Court, Barangay Baluno, Zamboanga City.
The graduates are members of the Baluno Integrated Farmers Association (BIFA) and Escuela de Siembradores Harmony Zone de Baluno Association (ESHABA), have successfully completed the three-month program designed to strengthen their skills in farming and business management.
During the ceremony, four graduates took the stage to share their personal stories and the knowledge they gained, reflecting on how the program empowered them to improve their farming practices.
Prominent guests, including Joselito B. Cordova, TCS II/CIDF Point Person; Dr. Gerry R. Pagarigan, OIC-TCS II of ATI-RTC IX; and Ma. Rita Molina, Senior Agriculturist from PCA, congratulated the graduates and delivered encouraging messages.
They emphasized ATI and PCA's commitment to ongoing technical support for the farmer associations, underscoring the significance of sustainable agricultural development in the region.
The event closed with a heartfelt message from Ms. Jesamine Pollisco, FBS Resource Speaker and Facilitator, celebrating the farmers' hard work and dedication.
