The Regional Youth Forum on Child Rights, held on November 21–22, 2025, at Ciudad Christhia Resort in San Mateo, Rizal, gathered Sama Bajau youth leaders and partner organizations for two days of learning and advocacy. Guided by the theme “Karahasan at Diskriminasyon, Wakasan: Sama-samang Ipaglaban ang Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata,” the forum featured discussions on the progress of children’s rights, a Problem Tree Analysis on the challenges faced by Sama Bajau children, and sessions on violence, discrimination, and child protection. Youth facilitators led engaging activities that highlighted their lived experiences and aspirations for safer and more inclusive communities. On the second day, participants presented a consolidated Youth Declaration and engaged in a dialogue with duty bearers to push for stronger child protection mechanisms. The forum concluded with the signing of a commitment wall and strategic planning for a three-year youth-led advocacy agenda. The event aimed to strengthen youth voices, foster collective action, and reaffirm the vital role of Sama Bajau youth in championing the rights and dignity of every child.
